Governments’ agile response to COVID-19

COVID-19 outbreak aggravated up to a pandemic in March 2020. Today, the disease has spread over more than 200 countries across the globe, and all nations strive to overcome this pandemic. Emergence of Covid-19 and spread of it in the world, has made the governments to take urgent decisions. Governments started to implement innovative approaches and mechanisms in order to reduce the spread of the virus. The preparedness of the humans of Earth for such regimes have not been questioned. Most of the governments have imposed quarantine regimes in their countries. It has been the first time for the humans of Earth to be quarantined and advised to self-isolate themselves since the World War II. Now, the ultimate treatment methods against the pandemic should be developed only through joint efforts and exchange of best practices for the well-being of the society.

Thus, for the spirit of cooperation and mutual support, as well as friendly exchanges, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAPSSI) organizes Global Web Forum to discuss innovative approaches during the pandemic and share experiences of different countries with one-another. Within the framework of 2 days of Forum the significance of public service delivery mechanisms, crucial role of social innovations and smart solutions in the fight against Covid-19 and post pandemic period will be discussed.
